Peter Low Hwee Min

Born in 1943 in the serene town of Muar, Johor, Malaysia, is a name synonymous with excellence in ceramics. A visionary artist and teacher, Peter Low’s artistic odyssey began at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in Singapore, where he mastered Western painting and sculpture. His journey led him to the UK, where he delved into the world of ceramics at the West Surrey College of Art and Design, graduating with first-class honors. Returning to Malaysia in 1974, he established his own pottery studio, planting seeds that would grow into a thriving legacy of ceramic artistry across Southeast Asia. Through his work and teaching in Singapore and Taiwan, he has become a guiding light in the ceramics community.
